Pattern Name: AmethystAge: 1920Quilting: Utility Quilting (8 stitches per inch)Material: double pink cotton with green gingham on a white backgroundMeasurements: 68”x59”Heritage: This quilt was found in Alabama. It is an unusual combination of pink, green, and white with the most wonderful surprises hidden in the quilt! If you look closely, the center of each star has another star embroidered inside of it! The piece is lovely and with such bold and vibrant colors and the quilting surprise, would be a talking point for sure! Its an excellent example of the bold, striking geometry and unique patterns that I personally love to see in quilts!Condition: Overall the piece is in good condition. The binding is fraying some and there is a bit of fade here and there, but nothing overly noticeable. Its in lovely shape! Any issues with the piece are consistent with its age and use.
