Pattern Name: Jacob’s Ladder Age: 1920s Quilting: White thread Elbow pattern Material: red and blue calico cottons and feed sacks Measurements: 76”x76” Heritage: This quilt was found in Tennessee. This is such a unique quilt! From the MAROON cotton blocks to the feed sack back with the unbelievable navy trim, the piece is just one of a kind. The blocks are made of a fantastic combination of shirting fabrics, feed sacks, and calicos and the bold blocking contrasts the pastels just beautifully. This is a thinner four season quilt and is ready to make your bed beautiful! There are virtually no issues with the quilt at all. It is a beautiful yet sturdy quilt: unique and a work of art. Condition: Overall the piece is in excellent condition. It is so very soft and the colors vibrant and sure. There are a few stray dark spots here and there but nothing overly noticeable. There are some signs of wear characteristic with the textile's age, but overall a truly lovely and exquisite piece.
