Pattern Name: The Wanderer

Age: 1890s - 1910s

Quilting: Fussy Quilting and Self Quilting - hand pieced and hand quilted

Material: red cotton background with multi-color cotton and cotton sateen fans

Measurements: 80" x 68"

Heritage: This quilt was found in Pennsylvania. This quilt is quite stunning and beautiful. I have not seen a red this deep and bright nor such a fantastic version of the fan pattern. It is similar to my logo! The top is hand-pieced beautifully. The quilting itself is a quick utility quilting. There are myriad vibrant colors throughout the piece and an absoluetly unique homespun brown backing. The colors are vibrant and colorfast.

Condition: Overall the piece is in fair condition. It is strong, soft, but does have some issues. There are some areas of fraying on the binding. There are also two holes in the top of the quilt and some faint storage stains. Despite these issues the quilt is soft and quite strong. It would be a wonderful addition to any collection.
