Pattern Name: Zig then Zag Age: 1930-1940Quilting: RED Utility Quilted - Right Angle StyleMaterial: red and blue calico cottons and feed sacksMeasurements: 74”x74” Heritage: This quilt was found in Georgia. This is such a unique quilt because of its rare RED quilting thread. The quilt has a unique zig zag pattern in a floral cotton feed sack print on a dark indigo blue background. The background is made of feed and flour sacks machine stitched together. This is a thicker quilt and quilt soft and cuddly. It is truly an exquisite piece and would make quite a statement displayed prominently in the home (albeit its a great bed-quilt, too). There are virtually no issues with the quilt at all. It is a beautiful yet sturdy quilt: unique and a work of art. Condition: Overall the piece is in excellent condition. It is so very soft and the colors vibrant and sure. There are a few stray dark spots here and there but nothing overly noticeable. There are some signs of wear characteristic with the textile's age, but overall a truly lovely and exquisite piece.
